Invitation Sneak Peek

Hello lovelies! I hope everyone had a great weekend! We did- we went to my hometown for my bridal shower- it was so much fun! We had such yummy food, lots of mimosas and plenty of good girl time. My sweet friend Grace even flew up to surprise me at the shower & brought her precious baby Ian-I really have the most amazing friends and family in the whole world! I am so flattered that Ian's first plane trip was to come to the shower :) Thank you to everyone who made it so wonderful!

On the same wedding note (I'll be stuck on this note for a while people...sorry!) I am getting close to getting the invitations out. Let me tell you, for a graphic designer, doing your own wedding invitations is like the World Cup of design-so much pressure! I am so glad that I finally picked a theme (after doing about 20 different versions) and it should be coming from the letterpress printers any day now. And it wouldn't be me if the whole invitation package wasn't a little complicated and had lots of pieces, so we are also using a muslin bag as part of the packet. I will be sure to post pics of the complete invite package, but until then, here's a little taste- the muslin bags I hand-stamped with a custom rubber stamp I designed with our monogram. I love them! I can't wait to see al the pieces put together and check these babies off the list.

I wanna be THIS organized!

I am a list maker for sure. I always have my pink leather planner and a couple of Moleskin Notebooks in my bag at all times, and even though my iPhone has plenty of list-making apps, I prefer to write them down and cross them off when complete. There's just something about a handmade list. I seriously thought I was pretty organized with all my list-making goodness, until I ran across The Project Girl. Um, Holy Organization Batman! Jenallyson, the smarty-pants behind this site, is a professional graphic designer that designs for scrapbooking paper company My Mind's Eye as well as digital files for two other companies. Her site is loaded with cute crafty ideas and free project downloads- everything from A Weekly Meal Plan (LOVE THIS!) to a food journal, weekly chores list and vacation packing chart. Nesting

Good Friday morning! I am so excited that this weekend is here! I got to see my parents last night, and G and I are headed down to Austin this weekend to see my bestest girlfriends for a little reunion and to celebrate my friend Taylor's graduation from PA school. I'm so proud of her! And, to top all of this goodness off, I received our custom ring bowl from Paloma's Nest in the mail yesterday. Its beautiful and I can't wait to use it on our special day. I hope you all have lovely weekends!

Good morning lovelies! Sorry I have been out of pocket for a few days, its been really busy! Oh well, I'm back and sooooo excited about my latest wedding obsession! Paloma's Nest out of Austin, TX makes gorgeous custom ring bowls and keepsakes to be used at your wedding or to mark a special moment in life. I ordered one that says "To have & to hold" & has our names and wedding date on it. So it will hold our rings at the ceremony and then we will use it as an ornament on our Christmas tree. How sweet is that?! I love that this simple little piece will be a lasting memento of our special day.

Caroline uses only all natural materials including fine clays, wood, paper, and cloth, knowing that these items will be passed on for many generations.

All ceramic items are crafted from either white earthenware clay or porcelain clay. Ceramic pieces designed for DECORATIVE USE ONLY; most all pieces are NOT glazed, but ARE coated in a protective surface finish to prevent the pieces from becoming easily soiled by fingerprints and such.
