Life Lately

Hello there! Goodness, I have been away from my little blog so long. You know how it is, life gets busy and you run out of time for things. Like blogging. Oh well, I'm back and I have a ton of new things happening in my life to share. The biggest of all- I'm expecting a baby girl in October! We are so thrilled and can't wait to meet our little chicken. I knew I wanted to blog about my pregnancy and our life as new parents after the baby arrives, and really had intended to start earlier, but I've decided not to worry about it and just begin now. It will be so nice to be able to look back at this exciting, sweet, crazy time in our lives.

Also, hubs and I just bought a beautiful new house that we have been in for 2 weeks now and we are loving it. I have so many fun decorating plans and projects and am so excited to share them with you. 

I'm so happy to be back- more goodness to come!

A little game room spruce up

Well hello there! Its been a while since I stopped by, no? What can I say...
"Life, blah, blah, blah..." No sense recapping where I've been, lets get on to the goodies, shall we?

So, a few weeks back, the hubs and I invested in 2 gorgeous Natuzzi leather recliners for his little boy video game playroom our gameroom area. Its on the large landing as you come up the stairs, and is the perfect spot to hang out and play Xbox and Wii. And now that we've started decortaing that area, I have a few fun things in mind to spruce it up, while keeping it bright, fun & a little silly.
(Now all I need is a Kinect & Dance Central. Dance party at our house!)

The Art of the Bar Cart

Say that 5 times fast..."The art of the bar cart...the art of the...." Yikes. Can't do it. Maybe because while organizing everything for my home bar area, I partook in of some of the decor. Don't judge. Like you wouldn't do the same thing. 

These images have me inspired to put together a fancy little bar cart in our kitchen. I'm now on the hunt for a cute vintage piece (maybe something like this?) to serve as the cart.

I can't wait to make these, and these...oh, and these.

DIY: Brought to you by the letter K

If you know me, you are probably aware that I am obsessed with monograms. Love them. Even our wedding centered around our monogram and typography...guess its a graphic design thing. And of course I adore anything Anthroplogie. Take a cute monogram and mix it with some Anthro and you have some serious lust going on over here. I've loved these oversized zinc letters for a while, but can't get behind the $98 price tag. For one letter. Yikes! Pinterest to the rescue again! Seriously, is there anything you can't find a tutorial for on Pinterest? Dog jacket? Check! Giant Backyard Scrabble? Check! How to breed camels? Check. Ok wait... I made that last one up.
But there really are too many great ideas to count. Here's my newest DIY fave:
