Currently Craving: Ikat (+ 30 4 30 Days 16 & 17)

There are some patterns, colors & pieces I always seem to come back to. My yummy J. Crew boots I've had for 10 years and had resoled 3 times. Sky-high nude pumps. Multiple incarnations of the little red dress. I always seem to have a version of these things on hand. I'm adding another pattern to this "timeless" list: Ikat print. Its the perfect balance of geometric and bohemian, and is seasonless. And I love any pattern that I can use both in my wardrobe and in my home with beautiful effect. Here are some gorgeous ikat treats I am craving... (MUST HAVE that Anthropologie dress.)

And we are coming down the home stretch on our little 30 for 30 adventure! I'll be honest, I was feeling a little less than pumped about finishing, but just in the nick of time, the lovely Miss Kendi posted a pep talk and I am back on board and ready to be creative. Look out looks 18-30, you're gonna be awe. some.) Turkey Trot (30 for 30 Days 14 & 15)

Happy Thanksgiving lovelies! Yep, I've fallen behind on the 30 for 30, but I am planning on catching up over the holiday (in my defense, I am sick- yes, still, ugh-and have been hanging around in sweatpants and my husband's old band t-shirts. I wouldn't inflict that on you.) But sick or not, I am going to finish this thing! So here's my day 14 outfit along with what I am wearing today (day 15) to celebrate Thanksgiving (wish I had included stretchy pants in the remix options, dang.) I am thankful for all you who visit my blog- thank you for sharing your lives with me. And I'm so thankful for my family, and being home, and my hubs. And for Dayquil. Now off to spend my 1st Thanksgiving as a married lady.

Party Perfect Neckwear (& 30 for 30 Day 13)

OK, ladies, party season officially snuck up on me. And after all the dresses I bought for all of my wedding events, I am not planning on investing in any new partywear this season. But how boring is it to wear the same LBD over and over? Lame. I've been looking for an affordable way to dress up what I already have for the season. Enter Festive Neckwear! These pieces make it easy to add a lttle luxe to a plain jane ensemble. Just throw one of these babies around your neck and you are ready to party. (I'm thinking I need the LOFT sequin Skinny scarf to wear with jeans and the Forever 21 (32?) feather collar to fancy up my party dress.) Lovely!

And here is Lucky Number 13 on our 30 for 30 journey. You really can't go wrong with a classic black shift dress. Add some buttery tan leather accessories, a couple pops of turquoise and you are good to go. One of these pics is not like the others...10 points for whoever can spot the oddball.

Catching Up (30 for 30 Days 11 & 12)

Happy weekend lovely readers! So, I'm a bad blogger and didn't post my outfit Friday, but I spent most of the day cleaning in yoga pants, so you didn't really miss anything. We had such a fun weekend with my sweet friend Laine and her hubs Dustin- we had Mexican food and margaritas Friday night, saw Lucero and Social Distortion last night at the House of Blues and then had brunch with some friends this afternoon. I'm totally pooped & so happy to be spending the rest of the weekend lounging around the house.

Here is what I wore Saturday night to the concert-my new fave skinny cargos, comfy flats and a printed blouse. Apparently I didn't get Rockabilly dress code memo that everyone else there did.

(How cute is Laine? And the Hubs isn't too shabby either-although, I'm ready for Movember to be over so he can get rid of that moustache. Its gonna look AWESOME in family photos on Thanksgiving...)

And here is what I threw on for brunch today. I have to say- its not so inspired. I'll try harder tomorrow. Scouts honor. (Its a good thing I wore that scarf though- I dumped a Coke all over my friend Julie's car and had to use it to mop up the spill. Its hard being uncoordinated sometimes.)
