Feeling Breezy

Or at least I would like to be. Usually I find summer is a time to slow down, relax, spend more time outside and just chill. Um, not this summer. We are less than three months away from the nuptials people! I gotta say, my stress level is definitely up. Hence my blog absence. I'm not going to lie, I'm pretty sure my posting will be spotty in the next couple of months as we get closer, but I will do my best to check in with my beloved little blog. I took a rare break from wedding madness to do a little online window shopping this evening. Nothing drops my blood pressure like gazing at gorgeous, flowy, breezy blouses. There are so many in stores that I am in love with. I can see each of these paired with cute cutoffs and flat sandals for summer weekends, with dark skinnies and heels for work, and layered under my fave cardis when the weather gets cooler. Yes, definitely going to have to add a couple of these beauties to my wardrobe.

Happy (Belated) Father's Day

Yes, I am a little late on this one (I was traveling yesterday and blogging wasn't an option...) but it is no reflection on what an amazing Dad I have. He has always been there, always been our family's rock, and knows how to fix anything. He is amazingly smart and kind and talented. A true Renaissance man, he could be sculpting a beautiful bronze statue one minute, then switch to a painting or stained glass piece, then head over to his triathalon class with my mom or to one of his many successful businesses. I am so grateful for you everyday Dad-you truly have set the bar high! I love you so much!!

Don't be Tardy for the Cardi

My all time favorite piece of clothing is a cardigan (people who know me are rolling their eyes right now, because I wear one 5 days out of 7...at least.) I tried to leave the house this morning without one on and I kinda felt like I left my arm behind. Sad. I asked G if I could wear one with my wedding dress, and he said no. Ok, maybe a wedding cardi is going a bit overboard, but I will never stop adding to my beloved collection (dammit!) I have them in almost every color-I got one in the most lovely shade of coral-y pink this weekend. But something still eludes my collection: patterned cardis. They've been cropping up around the blogosphere and (oddly) I have yet to jump on the bandwagon. Sash Panache

Happy Wednesday lovelies! I hope everyone is having a wonderful week. Other than pulling my neck getting dressed yesterday (getting old...) my week has been splendid. I even saw Jane of Sea of Shoes yesterday at Blue Mesa- she is even more beautiful, and tiny, in person. 

So, if you have visited my little blog before, you know that I am smack-dab in the middle of planning our September wedding (eek! 4 months to go!) My goals this month are to finish a boatload of DIY projects, get G's wedding band, and finish accessorizing my dress. I already have lovely green shoes, and am wearing G's grandmother's stunning pearls, but now I'm on the hunt for the perfect sash for the waist of my dress. I have gone round and round- do I want a green sash to match my shoes with a flower on it? Or maybe something sparkly? I'm even considering making my own with a trip to the notions store (check out this great DIY sash post from Classic Bride.)  Here are some of my fave options from etsy and some inspiration photos. I'll let you know what I decide!
