One Pretty Thing

Good morning pretties! I hope everyone had a lovely weekend. I did-even though my sweet husband was out of town. Bummer. I'm so so glad he's back (just in time for our very first Valentine's Day as newlyweds.) Like it or loathe it, V-Day is on its way my friends. I have to say, even though I don't quite buy into all the hype, I'm still excited for another romantic date night with my hubs. And I think I might need these ADORABLE shoe clips for my Valentines Date Heels, no? Ban. do has so many cute shoe clips, headbands and other fun girly treats- check em all out here. High Gloss Happy

Hello lovelies! Happy Wednesday to you. Its a snowy, icy, crazy-cold day here in Big D, so I am tucked away in our warm house, working away with a cup of tea in front of a fire. And besides cranking out some design projects, I'm also checking in on my favorite blogs and online mags. I definitley have a new favorite in High Gloss. This newbie to the online lifestyle publication game definitely did not disappoint with its premier issue. High Gloss is chock full of fashion and decorating goodies and I can't get enough. Paper Gangsta

Yeah, that's my current favorite Gaga song. Love it. And its appropriate for this post cause these dresses are made out of paper. I must have stood in front of Anthropologie visually dissecting these things for at least 20 minutes. And then I started photographing them. I'm pretty sure the manager thought I was casing the joint. I couldn't help myself- they are so beautiful. Can you blame me?

Oh, Hello There... (Dear Husband...)

Well hello dear readers. Long time no see (or write...or whatever...) It seems my life has gotten in the way of my blogging life. Its bound to happen sometimes. So in the interest of being kind to myself (and realizing I am not, in fact, Wonder Woman) I am just going to jump back in. So, without further ado...

Dear Husband...

I know I keep saying that all this running is giving you too much energy (and, lets face it, making you a little silly) but I really do love it and look forward to our time together at the end of the day. There's nothing like a chat with my bestie to put things into perspective. Plus, sometimes you wear weird stuff on our runs (like a wife beater OVER all your warm clothes cause you said it would help cars see you.) Ten points for always cracking me up. 

I love that we learn new things about each other every day. And I love the way you love our little old dog. And slightly spastic cat. And our families. And me.

Dear Husband...

This weekend you:
Helped me super-clean the house (you even vacuumed under the couch), took me out for steak on Friday night cause I was too tired to cook and then made me laugh the whole time, told me I looked like Audrey Hepburn with my hair up (even though I was wearing sweatpants), ate 2 of the weird double chocolate cookies I made that didn't quite come out (thanks for the support), kissed me on the nose when you got out of bed before me (but you always do that), & told me that you wouldn't want to spend your life with anyone else (I feel EXACTLY the same way.)

You rock my socks, baby love.
