Fall Transitions

Happy Friday! Is it hot where all of you are? Cause it feels like an oven here in Texas. Blech. I'm so over it (as I'm hearing all of you are too...) So, to cheer myself up (because summer has a-ways to go) I popped over to my fave site to play grown-up paper dolls and made a little fall transitions wish list (most things from Anthropologie- I know you're shocked!) Those awesome Houlihan Cargos have been all over the interwebs, but I need an affordable version, so these Alloy skinny cargos fit the bill!

I'm also love-love-loving these two breezy blouses, I can wear them on their own now, and layer over long sleeve t's and under chunky sweaters when the temperatures dip. And how gorgeous is the navy feather print dress from Anthro? So cute year round (with flat sandals for summer and leather boots and a cardi for Fall.)

And yes, those are Uggs, and no, I don't care if you think they're lame, I want my tootsies to live in warm squishy comfort all winter thankyouverymuch.

Check out all my Fall Transition must haves below-
what are you craving right now?

Happy Birthday Mom & Dad!

Ok, so I am a bit late on the birthday wishes for my parents. The past couple of weeks have been pretty hectic and I am so sorry I am just now getting to it. Dad's birthday was July 29th and Mom's was yesterday-Aug 11th. So, without further adieu, HAPPY BIRTHDAY to two of my most favorite people in the whole world!!  You both are great role models and friends and I am so blessed to have you!!!
I love you guys both so very much.

Mirror Mirror...Finally on My Wall

Good Tuesday morning lovely readers! Thank you for being patient during my little absence- I haven't been in a blogging mood since we lost my Papa. I am back today and feeling a bit better, so I thought I'd share my newest purchase with you guys. I have been coveting a peacock (or honeycomb) mirror ever since I saw Liz Lange's entryway featured in Domino Magazine a few years ago. I was so excited to come across this beauty at Wisteria, but, unfortunately, a $2400 Mirror is just ridiculous to me. So you can imagine my excitement when I saw an affordable version at Pier 1. As soon as we got some wedding loot, I knew this baby would be mine. Luckily, I waited long enough for it to go on sale and snagged it last week for $150! It now hangs proudly over our mantle (pic coming soon...)

I hope everyone is having a lovely week!!

My Papa

I'm so sorry for the little absence here, its been a tough week. My sweet grandpa (we call him Papa) has been in the hospital since last week and passed away last night. I am so very sad and can't believe how much I am going to miss him. He was so funny and sweet and wonderful, but I know that he is in Heaven with my Mamaw who he loves more than anything. I so appreciate your prayers and sweet words- they are a great comfort.
