I think the post title says it all. You might have thought I had fallen off a cliff or something right? Nope. Just a busy bee. So busy in fact, that I had a small meltdown at work this morning. That's always fun. Now all the people at my new job think the new girl is mentally unstable. Lovely.

Hey, it happens to the best of us right? Sometimes you just have to hide in the work bathroom and boo-hoo it up. Then head back to your desk and try to pretend you're not a lunatic. Good times.

Happy Tuesday lovelies! This week has been a big ball of crazy-pants! Because I've been working a ton, we have started getting up in the early am to continue our running training. This is cutting into my bloggy blog time in the evening cause I have to go to bed like an elementary school kid so I'm not a total zombie in the morning. So, if I'm sometimes MIA, I apologize! As you all know, sometimes life gets in the way of stuff.

So, until I get back in full blogging gear, here are some snaps form the last weekend: My good friend Julie's 30th Birthday (ie. good friends, a four course dinner, cake, cocktails, karaoke, & dancing on a downtown Fort Worth rooftop. Ah-mazing.) We made it a little weekend getaway and booked a hotel in downtown Fort Worth for Saturday night. It was so nice to have a little time away just the hubs and I. Sunday morning, after the party madness, we slept in and then went for big stacks of pancakes and coffee at Ol' South Pancake House. 

Weekend perfection.

Good morning lovelies! I have finally recovered from all of my running soreness, caught up on all my work, freelance, and sleep. I feel like a new woman. A new woman in need of some gorgeous, super high, nude heels. I am in love with all of the gorgeous details on these pretties-from hints of black, eyelet cutout detailing, pops of crimson, patent and ankle straps. Yes, those Zara ankle strap wedges are haunting my dreams right now. Drool. Don't you think I need an "I finished my half marathon and am training for another one" present to myself? Yeah. Me too. (Husband will most likely disagree considering the beating I put on the bank account at LOFT the other day. But it was 30% off EVERYTHING plus I had $100 off in gift cards...can you blame me? I love that you guys are on my side.)

One of these things is not like the other...
Um, yeah. Poop. Remember when husband was requesting more pics of Calvin be included on the blog? Its not a dog blog I said. Well, since he is now the man behind the camera, I guess he gets a say...right? But look at these pictures. This is not a dog that wants to be held. Or wants his picture taken. And to prove it he pooped on me during the last photo. Yeah...we didn't post that one. Good times.

At least nothing got on the best dress ever. Seriously. Go buy this NOW. They are just showing red online right now, but I've seen lots of navy in stores.  It is the perfect shirtdress-perfect length, lovely color, nice thick fabric. Loft totally nailed this one. I'm going to live in it all summer. And speaking of LOFT, I am seriously loving their stuff lately-lots of cute work staples and fun summer tops. Plus, it seems like they are always having a sale. I mean the photos are getting weird. Not me. I'm already weird.

Perhaps I should explain...
My super awesome coworker at my old job, Natalie (who happens to be a photographer) used to take all my outfit photos, but now that I have a new job, I have conned husband into taking them when I get home at night. Needless to say his tolerance for fancy photo shoots with lots of poses is lacking. So, the Style File photo posts will most likely be short and sweet from here on out. You guys are probably tired of endless photos of me anyway. And they will most likely include a few ridiculous photos that husband thinks are awesome (see last photo). He took a photo of a weed in our backyard that he thought was good, but I refused to post it. Its a WEED, I said.
I have standards you know.

Maybe I'll get a tripod and a remote...*
