Crowning Glory

So, now that I am 27, I have decided I don't want to be a grown up anymore. Being a grown-up involves laundry, and buying cat flea medicine, and paying for the dentist. Therefore, I have decided not to be one. Instead, I will be a fairy princess. That sounds like a much better fit. While I am pretending not to have a marketing meeting this afternoon, you guys enjoy some fairy princess crown goodness from Made by Girl & Etsy....

Plastic really was Fantastic!

Greetings from Crazy Town. Work is nutty- getting ready for the High Point Furniture Market, so bear with me this week. On a super fun note, our Girly Craft Night of plastic bag fusing went off with out a hitch. (And without any Plasticy-melting fumes-hooray!!) I love these girls- we always have so much fun chatting and snacking and enjoying our wine. Sometimes we even make things....Please enjoy some cute pics of our fun night!

We Heart U, Tessa & Disco Stu!

So, 2 of my favorite people, Miranda and Nicole, have both lost sweet pets recently, Miranda lost her darling Great Dane Tessa a couple of weeks ago, and Nicole lost her beta Disco Stu yesterday. Being the animal lover I am, these passing will not go unnoticed! We love you Tessa and Stu- and we will miss you very much!

Plastic Fantastic!

Ok, 3 things: 1. I am a bad blogger and should be banned from blogland for not posting anything in a billion years. 2. Tomorrow is my birthday, so I have forgiven myself for #1. 3. I can't wait for our Girls' Craft Night on Thursady! We get together once a month, these crafty girls and me, to make something fun and have wine and chattter. Geoff calls it "Hen Night." Anywho, this week we have decided to try fusing plastic bags and making them into totes. I had never even heard of such a thing until it was suggested as a theme. There is a great tutorial on Etsy Labs (here) to show you what I'm talking about. And posted below are some examples of what some crafty critters from Etsy have made using this technique. I will post pics of our (hopefully attractive) creations on Friday. Enjoy!!
