Summer Lovin

I have a cold. In the summer. Seriously? Aren't colds and stuffed-up noses supposed to be reserved for icky winter months? I guess not. So, to cheer my coughing, sneezing self up, I decided to throw together a list of things I'm loving right now.
A few yummy summer treats? I feel better already...
Enjoy!

Summer Reading Goodness:
1. Craft, Inc. Turn Your Creative Hobby into a Business : Hey, a girl can pretend, right?

2. The Illustrated Kitchen Bible : Because there is no such thing as too many cookbooks!

3. The Crowning Glory of Calla Lily Ponder by Rebecca Wells: I can't wait to read this. I adored the Ya-Ya books and am hoping this is just as lovely.

4. I am halfway through Julie & Julia by Julie Powell and am absolutely hooked. Its based on her real-life project to cook all of Julia Child's recipes from "The Art of French Cooking" in one year. It satisfies my cravings for an intelligent girly book with my love of all things cooking.
(You can also read Julie's actual blog, about The Julie/Julia Project here.)

Everything in the J. Crew summer catalog makes me happy.

Fun treats:
1. Patterned Neoprene Lunch Tote: makes my work lunch seem more fun.
2. Boho Magazine: picked this one up on a trip to Barnes & Noble. Its beautifully designed, full of ideas for fashion, home, weddings, etc., and is green!
3. Lavanila Pure Vanilla Perfume: Healthy, Organic, Eco-friendly, not tested on animals...and smells divine!
4. Subversive Cross Stitch: Who says your cross-stitchery can't have dirty words?

The Cupcake Kit. Yummy. 'nuf said.

Adorable, customizable containers from the Macbeth Collection. Love the huge buckets for icing down drinks on the patio, and the small ones for organizing my crafty supplies.
